Radykalna grupa pro-Palestyńska traci dostęp do platformy Instagram

The pro-Palestinian activist group known as “Within Our Lifetime” has been permanently blocked on the Instagram platform. This is a significant loss for them as the service was their main tool for organizing protests.

“Within Our Lifetime” and its associated accounts, including those of its founders, Nerdeen Kiswani, were disabled due to violations of Instagram’s community guidelines. While the group’s page on Facebook remains active, Instagram had the largest reach for them.

Meta, the owner of Instagram, stated that the actions taken against the group were a result of violations of the “Dangerous Organizations and Individuals” policy. In recent months, “Within Our Lifetime” and Kiswani used Instagram to endorse the October 7th Hamas attack as a “necessary means” for Palestinian liberation. They also called for attacks on Jewish and Israeli institutions in New York.

The decision to remove “Within Our Lifetime” accounts was made on the same day Meta blocked the accounts of Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. Meta is also considering ways to regulate the term “Zionist.”

Since October 7th, “Within Our Lifetime” has used Instagram as a platform for organizing frequent street protests in support of the Palestinian cause. These demonstrations often disrupt traffic, gather in transportation hubs and holiday events, and target civilian institutions due to their connections with Israel.

The decision to block the “Within Our Lifetime” group accounts has drawn criticism from other pro-Palestinian national groups, such as National Students for Justice in Palestine and Palestinian Youth Movements.
