Nowy model Kia EV5 wkracza na rynek Nowej Zelandii

Kia has unveiled its latest electric vehicle model, the EV5, which has just debuted in the New Zealand market. This smaller sibling of the award-winning seven-seater EV9 will undergo local testing and evaluation before it hits the market in mid-2024.

Over 20 research and development engineers from seven different departments at Kia’s headquarters are involved in the research and testing of the new model. These are the first of such studies conducted in New Zealand and aim to customize the vehicle to local conditions and customer needs.

“The EV9 has been very well received since its launch in New Zealand at the end of last year,” says Todd McDonald, Managing Director of Kia New Zealand. “The EV9 is equipped with cutting-edge technologies, offers an impressive range and performance, as well as a spacious interior, thanks to the Electric Global Modular platform, which gives Kia designers the freedom to create the interior of the vehicle without traditional constraints. The same features and functions will be found in the EV5, albeit in a slightly smaller package. We expect this new model to particularly interest families seeking an innovative, fast-charging, and attractive fully electric vehicle.”

The new EV5 will target the smaller SUV segment and offer two rows of seats for five people. Soon, Kia New Zealand’s website will feature a new section dedicated to the EV5, where interested parties can find more information about the model and register their interest.

More details regarding pricing, specifications, and the vehicle’s range will be revealed in the coming months.
