Fortinet prezentuje nową, wytrzymałą bramkę sieciową FortiGate Rugged 70G z modemem 5G Dual

Fortinet Inc. has announced the launch of a new device on the market – the FortiGate Rugged 70G with a Dual 5G modem. This is the latest offering from the company, based on fifth-generation security processor technology.

The device has been reinforced and specially designed to meet the demands of industrial environments. It simplifies the complex and costly infrastructure required for effective communication in remote locations, and its rugged construction ensures resilience in the toughest conditions.

The FortiGate Rugged 70G combines several essential features in a single compact device, deployable anywhere. The product offers advanced security features, including secure boot, biometric verification, and next-generation firewall with AI-powered FortiGuard software. It also supports LAN and WAN security, including software-defined WAN (SD-WAN) and zero-trust network access with 5G connectivity.

“The market novelty here is the combination of all these features in such a small device,” said Rami Rammaha, Director of Secure SD-WAN Product Marketing at Fortinet. “It simplifies network operations for our customers. With two active connections, customers can leverage high-performance 5G connectivity, enjoying both high availability and redundancy.”

The device utilizes the Fortinet SP5 security processor, which significantly surpasses standard processors available on the market in terms of encryption, firewall performance, SSL inspection, and energy efficiency. The FortiGate Rugged 70G consumes 88% less energy than other processors, meeting the growing demand for energy-efficient and sustainable solutions in industrial environments.

In addition to performance, developing their own processor has become a key differentiating factor for Fortinet in the market. Cybersecurity is a highly processor-intensive field, and proprietary chips have allowed Fortinet to design specialized circuits optimized for security. This enables Fortinet to offer consistent features across all its products, providing engineers using Fortinet products with a similar experience.
