Evo 2024: Co nowego czeka fanów gier?

For over two decades, the Evo Championship Series has been gathering fighting game fans from around the world, and it shows no signs of slowing down. The organizers of the world’s largest event of its kind announced Evo 2024 tonight, where the titles to be showcased on the main stage and additional information about this great weekend will be revealed.

The annual Evo presentation will start at 5:00 PM PT / 8:00 PM ET, but there is no information yet about its expected duration or content.

Although the games that will be part of the main event have not been confirmed yet, we expect that some titles are practically guaranteed.

Considering the lineup of Evo Japan 2024 and the latest games, we can expect that Street Fighter 6, Tekken 8, Guilty Gear Strive, and Mortal Kombat 1 will be present, unless unforeseen circumstances arise.

The King of Fighters 15, Granblue Fantasy Versus: Rising, Dragon Ball FighterZ, and Under Night In-Birth II Sys:Celes are also likely candidates, although not all of them will have their place during the event.

If selected, Dragon Ball would be the oldest modern game that we will see at Evo, as it made its appearance there in 2018.

Considering that Super Smash Bros. Ultimate disappeared from the event since Sony’s partial acquisition, the chances of its participation in Evo 2024 are quite slim, but who knows, maybe fans are in for a surprise.

Just like the Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 event in 2023, Evo 2024 will likely also feature another iconic title on the main stage.

Evo Japan 2024 plans to include Street Fighter 3: Third Strike, so it will be interesting to see if the same title will be repeated as part of the main event or if a different game will be chosen, such as Killer Instinct.

As announced at the end of last year’s event, Evo 2024 will take place earlier than usual, from July 19th to 21st in Las Vegas, Nevada, at a new location – the West Hall of the Las Vegas Convention Center.

You can watch the Evo 2024 presentation below or on the official Twitch and YouTube Evo channels.

Registration and more information about the event are available on the Evo.gg website.
