Microsoft's Clarity Voice Tool Now Available on All Windows Devices

Microsoft has released a new Canary test version for Windows, introducing the Clarity Voice feature, previously only available on Surface devices, to all machines running Windows, including those with ARM processors. According to the company’s blog post, the feature utilizes “low-complexity artificial intelligence models” to eliminate background noise, echoes, and sound reflections in real-time. If Clarity Voice works well enough, its obvious application is to improve the quality of meetings on platforms such as Zoom or Teams – how many times have we encountered someone giving a presentation three meters away from the laptop, with their voice fading in a sea of echoes? Or when we couldn’t concentrate on what we were saying because our every word was being echoed by another participant’s microphone?

Microsoft also announces that when playing PC games, we will also be able to use the Clarity Voice feature during voice chats, where artificial intelligence will be used to eliminate unwanted background noise. The new Canary version also allows for quick access to photos and screenshots from connected Android devices and introduces a new and more modern design for the Windows configuration process. Additionally, it incorporates an update to USB4, enabling a bandwidth of 80Gbps.

The new Canary version is another enhancement to the Windows system’s functionality that benefits all users. With the Clarity Voice feature, we will be able to conduct online meetings more smoothly, and multiplayer games will become even more immersive.
