Problem z rozładowaniem akumulatora w XUV700: Poszukiwanie przyczyny

BHPian Carophile recently shared a recurring problem with fellow enthusiasts. In his post, he sought valuable opinions from group members regarding his XUV700, which experienced regular battery discharge.

Car: XUV700 Diesel AT Luxury

Problem Description:
Sudden battery discharge resulting in the car failing to start and requiring jump-starting. After jump-starting, there are no issues until the next sudden discharge occurs.

Frequency of Occurrence: 4 times in 1.5 years
First time: Within a month of purchase date (July 31, 2022)
Second time: January 23, 2023
Third time: November 20, 2023
Fourth time: December 13, 2023

Problem Description:
The car travels approximately 80 km daily. Over the course of 1.5 years, it has covered 35,000 km.

On all 4 occasions mentioned above, the car had traveled at least 40 km.

Upon reaching the destination, the vehicle was parked, and in the evening during an attempt to restart, it failed to start.

Time between vehicle last running and problem occurrence: average of 8-10 hours

No consistent pattern in other operations during the problem occurrence.
For example: Sometimes, all other operations such as adjusting the driver’s seat, opening and closing windows, or operating doors using the remote control did not function. Other times, only some of these operations worked.

The car makes a starting sound, but does not start.

Attempts to Resolve:
The problem was reported to the service center on 3 occasions.

No issues were found with the vehicle or the battery, and the response received was simply: “Everything is fine, let’s see if it happens again next time.”

During their investigation, they used a scanner and checked the fuses, but no electric current leakage was found.
Once, they sent the battery to the Amaron company for testing. It was tested for a week and found to be functioning properly.

Yesterday (December 16), the decision was made to go directly to Amaron Pitstop and check the battery.

The result once again indicated a “GOOD BATTERY.” The staff member first checked it using a multimeter and then with the appropriate battery tester. The water level was also checked and found to be fine.

Distress:
The problem is so random that I have lost confidence in whether the car will start at all the next time I press the ignition button.

However, the bigger concern is the lack of a diagnosis for the problem so far.

If it were a battery issue, I would invest in a new one (assuming the 1-year warranty period has passed), but I don’t want to do it until I am sure that the problem lies with the battery and not the car itself.

I also have little hope for a diagnosis from Mahindra’s service center due to their unsuccessful attempts so far and their known shortcomings in diagnosing issues.

Though I understand that approaching the service center is the only option, I have run out of ideas and seek opinions, suggestions, and solutions for this problem, both from a technical standpoint and in terms of how to approach Mahindra & Mahindra for resolution.
