Earthful Raises ₹3.3 Crore in Pre-Seed Funding for Plant-Based Health Supplements

Earthful, a company specializing in plant-based health and nutrition supplements, has successfully raised ₹3.3 crore in a pre-seed round of funding. The funding round saw participation from Green Ivy Venture and a group of angel investors, including Abhishek Goyal of Tracxn, Jayant Paleti of Darwinbox, and Brij Bhushan of Magicpin.

The co-founders of Earthful, Sudha Gogineni and Veda Gogineni, expressed their excitement about the investment and outlined their plans for the funds. They intend to utilize the capital for strategic purposes such as research and development, establishing an omni-channel presence, and expanding their team.

Founded in Bengaluru in 2020, Earthful aims to offer consumers a wide range of plant-based health and supplement products. Their product line includes vegan protein, multivitamins, and supplements for bone and skin health.

Sudha Gogineni highlighted the growing demand for nutritional supplements in India as a result of the increase in lifestyle diseases. Many people lack essential vitamins and minerals for overall health despite consuming enough calories. Nutritional deficiencies are prevalent, with approximately 75% of individuals lacking at least one essential nutrient. Earthful aims to address this challenge by providing scientifically-backed, plant-based nutrition options.

Both Sudha and Veda bring valuable expertise to Earthful. Sudha, a chemical engineer from IIT Kharagpur and an alumnus of ISB Hyderabad, has prior experience with respected companies such as ITC Ltd and Uber. Veda, a biotechnologist from IIT Kharagpur, has a background in companies like Deutsche Bank and Meesho.

This recent funding round will provide Earthful with the necessary resources to continue their innovative research and development efforts, enhance their market presence, and support their mission of promoting plant-based nutrition for improved health and well-being.
