Sustainable Energy Solutions Sweden Holding AB Secures Terrain for 40-MW Energy Storage System

Sustainable Energy Solutions Sweden Holding AB (SENS) has recently announced that it has secured land for the development of a 40-MW battery energy storage system (BESS) in southeastern Sweden. This project aligns with SENS’s commitment to sustainable and renewable energy solutions.

By entering into a lease agreement with a landowner outside the town of Eskilstuna, SENS demonstrates its dedication to collaboration and working closely with local communities. This move further solidifies SENS’s position as a key player in the renewable energy sector in the region.

In addition to the BESS project, SENS is also involved in discussions for the potential establishment of a solar park in the vicinity. By diversifying its portfolio with both battery energy storage and solar assets, SENS aims to provide a comprehensive and integrated solution to efficiently and sustainably meet the energy needs of the region.

With the acquisition of this new terrain, SENS’s project portfolio now exceeds 550 MW, showcasing the company’s continuous efforts to expand its renewable energy capacity and contribute to Sweden’s transition to cleaner and more environmentally friendly power generation.

SENS has previously expressed interest in deploying up to 70 MW of additional solar power capacity, along with an energy storage facility, in central Sweden. This recent announcement reflects the company’s ongoing commitment to explore and invest in innovative renewable energy solutions across the country.

As SENS continues to make progress in the renewable energy sector, it remains dedicated to its mission of driving the transition towards a more sustainable future. With a focus on solar and energy storage technologies, SENS is well-positioned to significantly contribute to Sweden’s ambitious renewable energy targets.
