Then we remove the bottom speaker and battery, and then it’s time to admire the cooling system – after removing the screen.
It turns out that it is really big, and by “it” we mean – in reality, there are two vapor chambers stacked on top of each other. This is the largest cooling system ever installed in a OnePlus phone.
During the phone teardown, we also get to see the cameras, fingerprint sensor, and a lot of interesting-looking thermal paste.
In the end, everything is put back together and the phone powers on, although the screen has been damaged in the removal process. It’s worth going through such trouble to see these vapor chambers, isn’t it?
