Przygotowywana jest oficjalna gra Dungeons & Dragons VR

The creator of Demeo, Resolution Games, is currently working on an official Dungeons & Dragons game in virtual reality. Resolution Games, known primarily for their digital fantasy adventure on the board game platform, Demeo, is collaborating with Wizards of the Coast on the first VR game set in the Dungeons & Dragons universe.

“As anyone who has played Demeo could guess, we are huge fans of tabletop role-playing games,” said Tommy Palm, founder and CEO of Resolution Games. “They have an unparalleled power to bring people together, creating shared experiences, and we have tried to capture that in almost every release in our library. Dungeons & Dragons offers one of the richest fantasy worlds ever created, and it continues to expand with every new sourcebook and adventure. We are incredibly excited and honored to have the opportunity to work with such an amazing IP, and we eagerly await the reveal of the first details of this new project in the future.”

Resolution Games seems to be a perfect fit for this project, as Demeo is inspired by Dungeons & Dragons (Demeo and its sequel, Demeo Battles, can be played on PC and in virtual reality, and Demeo is also available on PlayStation 5 and PlayStation VR2).

“Resolution Games understands how to bring players together and capture the fun of tabletop gaming in accessible ways on digital platforms,” added Eugene Evans, SVP of Digital Strategy and Licensing at Wizards of the Coast and Hasbro. “They are the ideal partner to bring a new Dungeons & Dragons VR video game to life and more. Dungeons & Dragons and our other world-class brands continue to attract amazing partners as we execute our digital game development strategy through licensing and internal development.”

No screenshots or videos of the new Dungeons & Dragons game have been released yet, and no release date or target platforms have been announced. Resolution Games has stated that more details will be shared at a later date.

Interest in everything Dungeons & Dragons-related is particularly high right now following the release of the well-received film “Honour Among Thieves” and the hugely successful game Baldur’s Gate 3. Last month, Starbreeze, the developer of the Payday game series, also officially announced a licensed Dungeons & Dragons game set to be released in 2026.
