Bengal-based startup STAN has secured $2.7 million in a pre-Series A funding round from new investors, including Aptos Labs, Pix Capital, Maelstrom Fund, GFR Fund, as well as returning investor, General Catalyst. CoinDCX Ventures, Climber Capital, TDV Partners, and Coinswitch Ventures also participated in the round.

In May 2022, the startup raised $2.5 million for initial development, led by funding leader General Catalyst, along with participation from Bеttеr Capital, Eximius Vеnturеs, and others.

The funds raised will be used to expand the base of game creators, grow the STAN platform’s user base, and leverage its potential for revenue generation. Since its inception, STAN has been dedicated to supporting the development of game creators in the country, based on shared interests.

Founded by Partha Chadhе, STAN provides a platform for game creators, enabling them to build communities, monetize their creations, and engage users through digital collectibles, chats, audio rooms, exclusive celebrity communities, and user interactions.

STAN claims to have garnered over 4 million users in just 1.5 years, with 75% of them coming from rural and smaller cities, including second and third-tier towns. The platform has recorded an annual volume of 50 million microtransactions, with an impressive 70% retention rate among paying users.
