Focus Entertainment ogłasza restrukturyzację i zmianę nazwy na PulluP Entertainment

Focus Entertainment, publisher of popular games such as A Plague Tale: Requiem and Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2, has announced significant changes in its structure. One of the main outcomes of this restructuring is the company’s name change to PulluP Entertainment, which will take effect on April 1, 2024.

Alongside the reorganization, a new Deputy CEO, Geoffrey Sardin, who has worked at Ubisoft for the past 25 years, will assume his new position on February 2.

During a recent board meeting discussing the group’s transformations, a decision was made to focus on the development of three divisions and merge them under the aforementioned new name. The main publishing division will be known as Focus Entertainment Publishing. Dotemu and The Arcade Crew will be responsible for publishing retro games, while the company’s seven studios (Deck13, Streumon, Twelve Tenths, Leikir Studio, Blackmill, Dovetail, and Carpool Studio) will concentrate on creating new titles.

It is worth mentioning that this is not the first time Focus Entertainment has changed its name and undergone a restructuring process. Previously, in 2021, the company transformed from Focus Home Interactive into the current Focus Entertainment.

The group’s financial report for the fiscal year 2023/24 also includes its revenues, which turned out to be lower than the previous year. In the third quarter (ending on December 31, 2023), revenues amounted to 43.3 million euros, a 43% decrease compared to the same period in the previous year. Meanwhile, in the first nine months (from April 1 to December 31, 2023), the company achieved revenues of 128.3 million euros, a 9% decrease compared to the same period in the previous year.

These results are not surprising, considering the list of games released by Focus in the previous fiscal year, such as A Plague Tale: Requiem and Evil West. This year, players could enjoy titles like Aliens: Dark Descent, Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun, and Atlas Fallen, which also aimed to capture the attention of the gaming community.
