Jak wyłączyć sugestie tekstu w trybie pisania na iPhone’u

Apple released the iOS 17.2 update in December, which added a new feature, the long-awaited Journal app, to iPhones. The update also provided more control over certain iPhone functions. For example, iOS 17.2 allows you to disable text suggestions while composing messages.

When Apple introduced iOS 17 in September, one of the new features was text suggestions in writing mode. This feature predicts what you intend to write while typing (although it’s not always accurate) and automatically adds the suggested text after pressing the space bar. If you accidentally press the space bar, you have to delete the word or phrase and start over. Some people, including myself, found this feature annoying, and Apple seemingly listened to the complaints and allowed the option to disable this feature in iOS 17.2.

Here’s how to disable text suggestions in writing mode:

1. Open Settings
2. Tap General
3. Tap Keyboard
4. Tap the switch next to “Show Text Suggestions in Writing Mode”

Now, while composing messages, you won’t risk adding words you don’t intend to add. You will still see text suggestions, suggested words, and emojis above the keyboard.

If you want to disable all text suggestions:

1. Open Settings
2. Tap General
3. Tap Keyboard
4. Tap the switch next to “Text Suggestions”

While composing messages, you will now not see the bar with suggested words or emojis on the keyboard. Disabling text suggestions also disables text suggestions in writing mode, so you won’t see any suggestions at all. You can write uninterrupted.
