Gears of War 3: Wspomnienia z 2011 roku

Gears of War 3, released in 2011, is a true time capsule. When I start the game on my Xbox 360, I feel like I’m going back in time to when I was 21 and everything was simpler. The online menu, old profile picture, all the game information of what I was playing back then – it all reminds me of those times.

While loading Gears of War 3, the sounds of the opening melodies evoke nostalgic feelings in me. It’s like I’ve entered a different dimension, where times were calmer and problems were smaller. For a moment, I forget about daily worries and simply immerse myself in the gameplay.

However, the gameplay in Gears of War 3 is completely different from modern games. Comparing it to titles like Apex Legends or Modern Warfare III, Gears 3 is slightly less smooth and clumsy. It takes a while to remember how to move the character and how the controllers work. But once I master all the tricks and combinations of moves, I feel like a brave warrior. Throughout the gameplay, I meticulously plan my actions, utilizing unique abilities and winning battles. Nothing gives me as much satisfaction as skillful maneuvers and precise shots.

Gears of War 3 also has excellent sound design, which enhances the nostalgic atmosphere. The sounds of gunshots, the terrifying spin of a bow firing arrows, and all kinds of sounds emanating from the Locust characters transport me back to those times. It’s the moment when I truly feel immersed in the game.

Unfortunately, even though Gears of War 3 is still available online, most players are either newcomers who are just starting their adventure or experienced veterans who know the game inside out. Matches are short and leave no room for the weak. Although I grasp the mechanics of the game, I am still defeated by merciless players.

Gears of War 3 is a wonderful journey to the past, but I have to remind myself that it’s already the year 2024. Despite being able to still enjoy this game, I have to admit that times have changed. But those memories from 2011, which come alive during gameplay, are priceless.
