Apple Music wprowadza funkcję współpracy przy tworzeniu playlist

Apple has just released updates to iOS, iPadOS, macOS, and the Apple Music app on Android, introducing a new feature – collaborative playlists.

Collaborative playlists in Apple Music were first announced during the WWDC conference alongside iOS 17 in June of last year. Now, with the introduction of iOS 17.3, iPadOS 17.3, macOS Sonoma 14.3, and Apple Music 4.6.0 on Android, users can finally make use of this feature.

The new feature allows users to share playlists with other Apple Music subscribers, where each invitee can add, remove, and change the order of songs. It’s easy to see who added which songs with an image next to each track. Finally, you can also react to added songs using emojis.

How to start using collaborative playlists in Apple Music:

1. Make sure you’re using the latest version of the app/operating system.
2. Simply create a new playlist or open an existing one.
3. Click on the person icon in the top right corner to invite others.
4. With the “Confirm Collaborators” switch turned off, anyone with the link can join. When enabled, you’ll need to approve requests first. Click “Start Collaborating.”
5. This will bring up the sharing screen where you can share the playlist using various apps or copy the link. Links expire after 6 days. You can generate a new link at any time.

To manage access, click the person icon in the top right corner again. Here, you can also stop collaborating, leave the playlist, find the invitation link, enable/disable collaborator approval, or even generate a QR code.

To react to a song, click on the currently playing track at the bottom to open the playback screen, then click the smiley face icon and choose an emoji. An animation will play, and you can go back to the playlist to see the emoji next to the track.

Adding, changing the order, and removing songs is as easy as in any other playlist.
