Joe Park Promoted to Chief Digital and Technology Officer at Yum! Brands

Louisville, KY, January 18, 2024 – Yum! Brands, Inc. (NYSE: YUM) has announced the promotion of Joe Park to the position of Chief Digital and Technology Officer. Park will report directly to Chris Turner, the Chief Financial Officer of Yum! Brands, effective March 1, 2024. He will be replacing Clay Johnson, who will continue to serve as a Senior Advisor at Yum! Brands.

In his new role, Park will join the Yum! Brands Global Leadership Team and will oversee the company’s global technology strategy, working closely with the KFC, Pizza Hut, Taco Bell, and The Habit Burger Grill divisions. His goal will be to ensure excellent digital experiences for customers and restaurant team members, as well as provide benefits for franchisees.

The leadership of Yum! Brands has a strategy of having diverse technological platforms tailored to each brand and market, which provide customer convenience, operational efficiency, and data insights to drive growth. In 2022, Yum! Brands achieved a record $24 billion in digital sales, doubling its digital business since 2019.

Joe Park joined Yum! Brands in 2020 as the first Chief Innovation Officer, and since 2021, he has been the Chief Digital and Technology Officer at Pizza Hut Global. In his previous role, he was responsible for implementing the AI-powered Dragontail platform to optimize the food preparation process from order to delivery. He also introduced the HutBot application, which assists managers in restaurant operations.
