Firma MSI wprowadza nowatorskie chłodzenie w dyskach SSD

During the CES 2024 expo, MSI surprised the industry by presenting an innovative cooling solution in their latest SSD model. Instead of typical radiators or fans, MSI decided to implement liquid cooling.

MSI Spatium M580 with Liquid Cooling

MSI’s new SSD model, the Spatium M580, uses the PCI-Express 5.0 interface and the Phison E26 controller, as well as 3D TLC NAND memory chips. However, that’s not all that sets this drive apart. MSI has opted for an advanced cooling system with a large radiator and three nickel-plated heat pipes. Additionally, with the addition of the Torx 5.0 fan, the drive’s temperatures are expected to drop by up to 30 degrees Celsius.

MSI Spatium M580 Frozr Liquid – Enhanced Cooling

The biggest innovation from MSI is the Spatium M580 Frozr Liquid model. This SSD features a miniature cooler with a pump that effectively dissipates heat from the drive. Furthermore, the drive is surrounded by the Torx 5.0 fan, which assists in the cooling process. Although the appearance of this model may be unconventional, the manufacturer has not revealed all the potential capabilities of the device.

Availability and Price

The MSI Spatium M580 Frozr+ and Frozr Liquid drives will debut on the market later this year. They will be available in different capacities: 1TB, 2TB, and 4TB. The price of the drives has not been announced yet, but due to their innovative solutions, it can be assumed that they will not be the cheapest options.
