A new 17-minute gameplay video showcasing the upcoming reboot of the Alone in the Dark series has been released. The gameplay looks impressive and suggests that the game’s scheduled March release date is on track.
The video was shared on Game Informer’s YouTube channel. It features one of the game’s main characters, Emily Hartwood, skillfully wielding weapons and eliminating terrifying monsters that inhabit the Derecto estate and its surroundings.
The new Alone in the Dark reboot bears many similarities to modern games from the Resident Evil series, especially the remake of the second installment. Interestingly, it is worth noting that Capcom drew inspiration from the original Alone in the Dark game from 1992 when creating the first “Resident Evil.”
The game offers typical survival horror elements such as shooting, inventory management, puzzle-solving, as well as interactions with other characters, including the legendary series protagonist, Edward Carnby.
