Firma Sony wprowadza nową jakość pracy dzięki urządzeniom XR

Sony, known mainly for its production of virtual reality (VR) goggles, has decided to focus on creating a device that will support the work of many individuals. The new device, which does not yet have an official name, resembles familiar VR goggles but has been equipped with additional features and conveniences. The set consists of 4K OLED displays, sensors, cameras, and two controllers with different uses.

The ring controller enables manipulation of objects in space, while the second controller is used for precise pointing. A significant convenience is that users do not have to completely remove the goggles from their heads to return to the real world – simply tilt the front panel with the displays.

Sony’s device is applicable not only in the entertainment industry but also in graphics work and 3D object modeling. Siemens has already partnered with Sony and plans to utilize these new goggles for product design and collaboration. The collaboration will be based on the use of Siemens’ Xcelerator software.

Although the new set is not yet available on the market, it is expected to be released in 2024. We will only know the specifications and price values at that time.
