Telekomunikacyjne firmy w Malezji potwierdzają, że nie będą nakładać dodatkowych opłat za dostęp do sieci 5G

Telecommunication companies in Malaysia have confirmed that they will not impose additional fees for accessing the 5G network, according to Fahmi Fadzil, the Minister of Communications. This decision was made after the CEOs of all telecommunication companies informed him of their commitment to not charge for 5G access.

Fahmi stressed that subscribers now have various options to choose from when it comes to selecting additional plans and services tailored to their individual needs. However, he also emphasized that subscribers need to ensure that their devices are compatible with the 5G network.

As of November 7th, the coverage of the 5G network in Malaysia currently stands at 73%, as announced by Fahmi. The government had previously stated that it would consider taking action against telecommunication companies that impose additional charges on existing customers for using 5G services.

Fahmi also appealed to all mobile network operators to address any telecommunications-related issues reported by the public. He highlighted that people deserve a quality of service that matches the value of their subscription.

Regarding the coverage of the 5G network in Malaysia, Fahmi announced that he will provide detailed information and updates during a press conference after the government meeting chaired by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim. During the restructuring of the unity government on December 12th, Anwar announced the division of the Ministry of Communications and Digital Technology into separate Ministries of Communications and Digital. Fahmi will clarify at the upcoming conference whether Digital Nasional Berhad (DNB) falls under the Ministry of Communications or the Ministry of Digital.

Overall, the commitment of telecommunication companies to not charge extra for 5G access is a positive development for subscribers in Malaysia. It ensures that these individuals have the freedom to choose suitable plans and services without additional burden of fees.
