After twenty-two years, the cast of the iconic game Max Payne reunites, this time in Alan Wake 2. The creators of this game decided to surprise fans by including some members of the Max Payne cast in the sequel to Alan Wake’s adventures. However, most players probably didn’t notice them.
In the photo, taken with director Sam Lake, we can see Jani Niipola (portraying Alex Balder), Carol Kiriakos (Mona Sax), Aki Järvilehto (B.B.), and Sam Lake’s parents, who respectively play the characters Nicole Horne and Alfred Woden in Alan Wake 2. Unfortunately, James McCaffrey, the voice of Max Payne, is missing from this lineup as he passed away last December.
Spoiler alert! In the film Yötön Yö (Nightless Night), which can be optionally played in Alan Wake 2, we can see additional actors from the photo. The film lasts about 15 minutes and is entirely in Finnish. There’s no doubt that it will be a delight for true fans of the Max Payne series.
Alan Wake 2, released on October 27, 2023, has already received an update called The Final Draft, which includes the New Game Plus mode. Remedy, the game’s creator, is currently working on two add-ons for Alan Wake 2 – The Lake House and Night Springs.
