SSD PCIe 5.0 x4: TeamGroup zapowiada nowy model z InnoGrit kontrolerem

The SSD PCIe 5.0 x4 market is preparing for changes as more companies introduce their new models with controllers different from the popular Phison E26. In this context, TeamGroup has announced the launch of their latest SSD model called T-Force GE PRO.

The TeamGroup T-Force GE PRO will be available in the M.2 2280 format and will utilize the PCI Express 5.0 x4 interface and NVMe 2.0 protocol. Interestingly, the manufacturer has decided to use the new InnoGrit IG5666 controller, which means greater diversity in the market.

According to information from the source, the proposal from InnoGrit seems to be better than Phison E26. First and foremost, the new TeamGroup T-Force GE PRO model claims higher performance, reaching up to 14 GB/s, while standard models with the Phison E26 controller offer only 10-12 GB/s.

Furthermore, the T-Force GE PRO does not come equipped with a large heatsink or additional fans, suggesting lower power consumption and operating temperatures for this storage device.

More information regarding capacity, performance, availability, and pricing of this new SSD model will be revealed during CES 2024, which will take place in Las Vegas, USA, from January 9th.
