Google Mapy zdobywają trójwymiarową opcję

Google is rolling out a new update for Google Maps that adds a feature allowing users to view maps in 3D. Users will now be able to see the shapes of surrounding buildings, which can be particularly interesting for cities like Warsaw with their towering skyscrapers. However, this new feature will only be visible when zoomed in significantly on the map, otherwise the map will be displayed in the standard format even when in 3D mode.

To access this feature, users will need to enable it themselves as it is disabled by default. This can be done by clicking the icon in the top right corner of the map to open the map view list, and then clicking the 3D icon. This option is available both when browsing maps and during navigation.

Unfortunately, this new feature does not work in satellite mode. When switching to 3D mode, the app automatically reverts back to the default mode. However, the 3D buildings are visible when browsing maps and during navigation, including in satellite mode.

The new feature is already available for Android smartphone users in Poland. It should also be available for iPhones and when using Android Auto [1].
