Vivo X100 and Vivo X100 Pro: New Flagship Smartphones on the Market

Vivo is introducing its flagship models from the X series: Vivo X100 and Vivo X100 Pro. The official release date has been confirmed for January 4th, and enthusiasts are eagerly awaiting this event. Although we cannot reveal all the details due to an embargo, we can share information about the aspects of these devices that are already known.

Vivo X100 Pro is inspired by blue bodies, representing the radiant energy of the sun, while Vivo X100 expresses the enchanting charm of the moon. This difference is particularly noticeable in the camera module, where the crescent shape varies slightly between these two models, stretching downwards or sideways.

Both smartphones feature an elegant and slim design, and the matte finish on the back panels provides a comfortable grip, even with nearly 7-inch screens. However, it is the photographic capabilities that distinguish these devices. Both models have a quad-camera setup, but Vivo X100 Pro has a 50MP main camera and a special 100mm periscope zoom camera, which is unique and has received Zeiss APO certification. Additionally, X100 Pro has a 50MP ultrawide lens and the latest V3 chip from Vivo, ensuring excellent photo quality. On the other hand, X100 is equipped with a 50MP wide-angle lens, a 70mm telephoto lens with a 64MP sensor, and the same 15mm ultrawide lens as its Pro version, using the V2 chip from last year.

Both of these impressive devices are powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9300 chipset. The RAM and storage options differ, with X100 offering two options (12GB RAM/256GB storage and 16GB RAM/512GB storage), while X100 Pro offers one version (16GB RAM/512GB storage). Both devices have a 6.78-inch display with an AMOLED LTPO screen that can refresh from 1Hz to 120Hz, perfectly adapting to the displayed content and optimizing power consumption.

When it comes to battery, X100 has a large 5000mAh battery, while X100 Pro has an even bigger 5400mAh battery. Interestingly, X100 supports very fast charging up to 120W, while the Pro version provides fast charging but at a slightly lower speed of 100W. The reasons for this difference will be discussed in more detail in our review.

Both smartphones will run on Android 14 with the Funtouch OS 14 interface from Vivo and will be available in two attractive colors: Startrail Blue and Asteroid Black. The release date is approaching, and smartphone enthusiasts are eagerly looking forward to getting acquainted with Vivo X100 and X100 Pro. With their refined design, exceptional photographic capabilities, and powerful performance, these flagship devices have the potential to make a lasting impression on the smartphone market.
