Samsung Focuses on Android 14/One UI 6 Update for Galaxy Devices

Samsung doesn’t want its customers to fall behind this holiday season and is working on rolling out the long-awaited Android 14/One UI 6 update to as many qualifying devices as possible before the end of 2023. The latest smartphones to receive this update are the Galaxy Tab Active 4 Pro and Galaxy A13 5G.

In contrast to many other smartphone manufacturers, Samsung is particularly fast in providing Android 14 updates for its budget smartphones. After releasing the update for the Galaxy A14 5G, its successor, the Galaxy A13 5G, is also joining the list of devices receiving the highly anticipated update. However, it should be noted that the LTE versions of the Galaxy A13 are not included in this wave of updates, and their owners may have to wait a bit longer.

Interestingly, the launch of Android 14 for the Galaxy A13 5G coincides with the official announcement of the Galaxy A15. Although there is no specific information about the Android version or One UI for the A15, it has been confirmed that it will come with Android 14 and One UI 6 pre-installed. Furthermore, the Galaxy A15 is eligible for four generations of operating system updates, giving it twice the update potential compared to the A13 and A14 models.

For Galaxy A13 5G users eagerly awaiting the update, they can download One UI 6 from the Settings » Software Update menu on their phone, provided the update has been made available in their country. It should be noted that the update has a size of 1.4 GB, so it is recommended to use a stable Wi-Fi connection or a sufficiently large mobile data bandwidth.

Samsung continues to demonstrate its commitment to timely updates and providing customers with access to the latest features and security enhancements.
