CD Projekt RED: Upcoming Games Revealed by Former CEO

Adam Kiciński, former CEO of CD Projekt RED, has shared new information about the studio’s upcoming games. Although Kiciński is stepping down from his position, he will still be involved in the activities of the Warsaw-based company. An interview with Parkiet has brought forth many interesting details that will surely interest fans of The Witcher 4 and the continuation of Cyberpunk 2077.

Misinformation regarding Cyberpunk 2077 led to numerous lawsuits against CD Projekt RED. Now the studio can breathe a sigh of relief.

The studio’s most important project at the moment is The Witcher 4, which is currently in intense development. Following the unsuccessful release of Cyberpunk 2077, the creators have not yet announced a release date for The Witcher 4. They will do so only when they are certain that the game will meet fans’ expectations. However, Adam Kiciński emphasized that CD Projekt RED is satisfied with the success of Cyberpunk 2077 after its rebuilding, as well as the popularity and reception of the “Coming of Freedom” DLC. All of this indicates that work on the next installment of The Witcher is progressing successfully. Currently, there are 330 developers working on the project, but the team will be expanded to 400 people by 2024.

Another interesting project is Cyberpunk 2077 Orion, which is currently in its early conceptual phase. The studio is currently assembling a team of employees and plans to establish a project center in Boston. It is also worth mentioning that in 2024, CD Projekt RED plans to release four games simultaneously. In addition to The Witcher Remake, the studio is collaborating with The Molasses Flood on another project related to The Witcher (“Sirius”). Kiciński also revealed that a partner has been found to create an actor-driven production set in the world of Cyberpunk 2077, but no further details were provided. The future looks promising for CDPR game fans.
