PhonePe recently introduced a new section on its platform called “Credit”. The new feature aims to provide users with a comprehensive solution for their credit needs and offers a variety of functions. These include the ability to check credit bureau results without any additional fees, manage credit and Rupay cards, as well as repay loans and credit card bills.
In addition to these features, the Credit section provides users with useful information about credit utilization, credit age, and timely repayment, among others. This information can help users better understand and manage their credit profiles.
To access the Credit section on the PhonePe app, users need to update the app to the latest version. This can be done by visiting the respective app stores, Google Play for Android users and App Store for iOS users. After updating, users will find a new “Credit” button on the bottom toolbar of the PhonePe app. Tapping on this button will open the Credit section.
Within the Credit section, users will find four different sections. The top section allows users to check their credit scores by pressing the “Check Now” button. The “Manage Credit” section enables users to link and manage their credit and Rupay cards. The remaining two sections, Credit Profiles and Debt Management, provide users with an overview of credit score details and the ability to check pending loans and credit card payments as well as make direct payments.
PhonePe has also revealed that it plans to introduce consumer loans within the app in the coming months, expanding its credit offering.
