Xiaomi Redmi 13C Series: Impressive Start in the Indian Market

Xiaomi India has announced that it sold over 300,000 units of the Redmi 13C series smartphones within the first few days of their launch. The company did not provide separate numbers for the 4G and 5G variants, but the impressive sales figure is in line with the results of the previous Redmi 12 series. The first sale of the Redmi 13C took place on December 12, and the inaugural sale of the Redmi 13C 5G happened on December 16. Both devices were available for purchase on various platforms, including Mi.com, Amazon India, and Xiaomi retail stores.

An interesting fact is that the Redmi 12 series also achieved the same sales result within the first few days of availability. Furthermore, the Redmi 12 5G became the best-selling 5G smartphone on Amazon India on its release day. Within a month, the Redmi 12 series sold over a million units. It remains to be seen if Xiaomi will be able to replicate this success with the Redmi 13C series.

In terms of specifications, the Redmi 13C and 13C 5G are quite similar, with only a few differences. The 4G model is equipped with the MediaTek Helio G85 processor, eMMC 5.1 memory, a 2MP macro camera, and an 8MP front camera. On the other hand, the 5G variant features the MediaTek Dimensity 6100 Plus chipset, UFS 2.2 memory, no second camera, and a 5MP front camera.

Both devices feature a 6.74-inch HD+ display with a 90Hz refresh rate and Corning Gorilla Glass protection, a flat frame, a 50MP main camera, a 3.5mm headphone jack, a MicroSD card slot, a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, a USB Type-C port, a 5,000mAh battery, and support for 18W fast charging.

The Xiaomi Redmi 13C series has certainly made an impressive start in the Indian market, and it will be interesting to see how the sales numbers develop in the coming months.
