Sales of the Sony PlayStation 5 console are breaking all records. According to the latest information, the company has surpassed both the milestone of 50 million units sold and has outpaced its main competitor.
In a report by Ampere, cited by the Financial Times, it is revealed that 22.5 million units of the PS5 were sold just this year, representing a growth of about 65%. In comparison to the competing Xbox X/S console, which sold 7.6 million units in the same period, the PlayStation 5 achieves a decisive victory. However, it is not as impressive as the sales of the Nintendo Switch, which is performing even better than the Xbox with 16.4 million units sold, albeit with a slight 18% decrease.
