Google Discover Introduces a New Feature for Users

Google Discover has introduced a new feature that allows users to access their favorite content in one convenient place. Now, users can find their favorite articles and YouTube videos by simply tapping the heart icon next to them. The updated version enables the display of favorite content in a grid format on Android and desktop.

This update brings improvement to Google Discover, making it easier for users to revisit content that once interested them. The new “Favorites” section can be found on the “Saved” page within the main Google app. Users can easily locate and access their favorite articles and videos.

In the “Favorites” tab, users will see their saved content in a grid format, accompanied by a cover image, source link, and headline if it’s an article. It is important to note that the “Favorites” tab is separate from the “Saved” section, which focuses on items saved using the Google search engine. The “Saved” section also allows for saving images and information from Maps and organizing them into collections.

Users on desktop can also browse their favorite content on the Interests page. While the layout may not be fully optimized for computers, it still allows access to favorite content for users primarily using the Google app on their computer.

This additional feature in Google Discover may also be a preparation for a larger update. In October, Google started testing the Discover feature on computers in India, suggesting that computer users will soon have Discover directly integrated on their Google.com homepage. This feature will offer recommended news, stock information based on internet usage, and other items of interest.

With the new “Favorites” page and the potential integration of Discover on desktop, Google continues to enhance the user experience by facilitating the return and interaction with preferred content.
