Currently, Nelson is working on expanding his company while considering his future plans for further studies.
The Future Leaders program, in partnership with CBS Colorado, Colorado School of Mines, and Chevron, aims to honor and recognize high school students who excel in the fields of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM). Nelson is one of the exceptional students receiving a $1,000 award and a feature on CBS News Colorado. Four more winners will be announced later this year, and the program encourages the nomination of outstanding high school students interested in STEM.
