How to Obtain Virizion in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet

To add Virizion to your collection in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, players must complete the main storyline of the second DLC. After finishing the storyline, they need to meet an NPC named Snackworth at the entrance to Blueberry Academy in the DLC. Snackworth will provide a location and clues for finding 25 returning Legendary Pokemon.

There are two options to receive clues from Snackworth. The first option is to complete The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero Part 2 and finish the Blueberry Quests (BBQs). The second option is to complete as many BBQs as possible early in the game and then meet with Snackworth to obtain Key Items (Treats) and location clues.

Finding Virizion in Indigo Disk

To find Virizion in the Indigo Disk, players must obtain a Treat and head to the northeast side of Tagtree Thicket in the Paldea region. Once there, they will have to face Virizion and defeat it in battle to add it to their collection.

It is important to note that players must meet the requirement of unlocking the Virizion snack. Without the Key Item, the encounter will not be triggered, so players should make sure to complete the appropriate number of BBQs to be able to find Virizion.

The order of Legendary Pokemon encounters will be random, meaning players may encounter Lugia, Latias, or Zapdos before finding Virizion in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet. Players should also complete at least ten solo BBQs to receive a clue from the NPC. While the encounter with Legendary Pokemon becomes easier after completing this task, finding them may still be challenging due to the extensive search for their locations.

Players should remember to save the game before encountering Virizion to avoid missing the opportunity to catch it. It is worth mentioning that Virizion is only available in Pokemon Violet, so players of Pokemon Scarlet will need to trade to obtain it.

Virizion locked for Shiny versions

It is worth noting that Virizion in the Indigo Disk in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet is locked for Shiny versions. This means that players can only obtain its standard form and cannot encounter the Shiny version. The same applies to any Legendary Pokemon that requires a Treat in The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero Part Two. However, in the future, events or opportunities to obtain Shiny versions of these Legendary Pokemon may be provided by the developer, Game Freak.
