The Absurdity of Star Citizen’s DLC Value hits a New Milestone

The developers of Star Citizen, Cloud Imperium Games, continue to surprise gamers with their DLC prices. This time, they have introduced a paid DLC called Legatus 2953, which is priced at over PLN 230,000 (approximately $57,000).

Legatus 2953 comes with 175 ships from various manufacturers and numerous cosmetic items. However, it is only available to players who have already spent at least $1,000 in the game. This outrageously high price for virtual items is just another step in the greediness of the game’s creators.

This is not the first time Cloud Imperium Games has released expensive DLCs for Star Citizen. In 2018, there were packages available for $27,000, and in 2021, there were packages for $40,000. It seems that the value of these DLCs will continue to rise, and in the future, we may even see DLCs worth hundreds of thousands of dollars.

It is worth noting that Star Citizen is still in alpha version and despite having already raised $654 million in player support, it has not yet been released in its full version. This is an even bigger surprise for those who continue to invest in the game.
