Mechaniczna klawiatura Clicks – większa precyzja pisa

American start-up Clicks Technology has introduced a mechanical keyboard for iPhones that features raised buttons, mimicking a virtual phone keyboard while adding several additional buttons.

The new Clicks Creator Keyboard was showcased at the Consumer Electronics Show and takes inspiration from previous smartphones such as BlackBerry, which were popular in the early 2000s before the touch-screen iPhone from Apple was introduced.

The Clicks keyboard is available for iPhone 14 Pro, iPhone 15 Pro, and iPhone 15 Pro Max models and aims to provide a more tactile typing experience. It allows users to type with greater precision even while on the move, thanks to the physical feedback of button clicks.

According to Clicks, the company’s first product also helps free up screen space that was previously occupied by the virtual keyboard, allowing for more room for apps and other content.

The device features a silicone casing, available in gray or yellow, with 36 keys made of polycarbonate arranged in the same Qwerty configuration as a computer keyboard in the English language.

Features such as shortcuts and dedicated buttons, including the command and tab keys that are missing from the iPhone’s digital keyboard, help enhance the product’s functionality.

Clicks Technology was founded by Michael Fisher and Kevin Michaluk, well-known technology content creators. Both have experience working for giants like Apple, BlackBerry, and Google.

The keyboard design replicates the layout of Apple’s iOS virtual keyboard, with punctuation and alternative keys configured in a similar way to make it intuitive for iPhone users.

The Clicks keyboard is backlit, making it convenient to use in low-light conditions. It connects to the phone via the lightning or USB port, eliminating the need for Bluetooth. Additional design elements include a vegan leather grip on the back of the casing and a small metal ballast that improves weight distribution when using the keyboard.

Currently, Clicks is only available for iPhone devices, but Fisher hopes that the project will be expanded to include Android phones in the future.

Original song lyrics are included in the achievements section.
