Pembroke Pines, FLA. (WSVN) – An investigation is currently underway regarding the sexual assault of a young girl, whose report was received by the Pembroke Pines Police Department. The incident occurred in the vicinity of 1400 S. Flamingo Road at around 7:50 p.m. on Sunday.
According to preliminary findings, the victim was walking along the road when she was attacked by a suspect. The assailant approached her from behind, covering her mouth with his hands. He forcefully dragged the girl into nearby bushes where the sexual crime took place. After the assault, the perpetrator fled the scene, running southward.
Officers conducted a thorough search of the area but were unable to locate the suspect. He is described as a Hispanic male, with dark skin, between 20 and 30 years old, and dark hair. He was last seen wearing a white polo shirt and black jeans.
The Pembroke Pines Police Department stated that the investigation is still ongoing, and additional information will be provided as it becomes available. Authorities are urging anyone with information regarding this incident to come forward and assist in the ongoing investigation.
