Ukierunkowane inwestycje w rozwój dróg rowerowych w regionie Częstochowy

Planning for the future, the Częstochowa region will soon see the establishment of a new network of bicycle routes, forming a comprehensive complex spanning over 240 km. This will primarily support the development of bicycle tourism.

Over the next few years, the northern subregion, encompassing Częstochowa and the municipalities of Częstochowa, Myszków, and Kłobuck counties, will undertake significant investments in the development of cycling infrastructure. The concept for the routes has already been developed. While some existing or under-construction bicycle paths will be partially utilized, there will be a need to build new bicycle routes in certain areas. Renovations are also planned, especially on sections where the current cobblestone surface requires repairs.

Route number 6 will run from the regional border through the municipalities of Kruszyna, Mykanów, and Rędziny, then through Częstochowa along Warszawska Street, and continue along the banks of the Warta River and Stradomka. It will then proceed along Główna and Przejazdowa streets. The continuation of the route will pass through the municipality of Blachownia, including near the reservoir, and end at the border with the municipality of Herby, already part of the Lubliniec county. The entire route will cover just under 57 km, with the lowest point at an altitude of 209 meters above sea level, and the highest point at an altitude of 290 meters above sea level.

Key questions regarding the new network of bicycle routes:

1. What benefits will the development of the bicycle route network bring to the Częstochowa region?
2. Will existing bicycle routes be incorporated into the new network?
3. What renovation works are planned for existing bicycle routes?
4. What are the planned timelines for the construction of new bicycle routes?
5. What are the estimated costs of construction and renovations?
