The new variation of the classic Atari 400 home computer, called THE400 Mini, will soon hit the market, bringing nostalgic memories for gamers. This smaller and refreshed model will come with THECXSTICK controller, which can be connected via a USB port. THE400 Mini will be able to emulate games from various 8-bit Atari editions, including Atari 400, 800XL, and 5200. The device will come preloaded with 25 titles, such as Lee, Berzerk, Millipede, Miner 2049er, M.U.L.E., and Star Raiders II.
Players will also have the option to run their own games by connecting a flash memory to the USB port. Although THE400 Mini appears to have a cartridge slot for games, there is no official information about it on the manufacturer’s website. An interesting feature is the ability to rewind time and save game progress.
THE400 Mini will be equipped with an HDMI output, supporting a resolution of 720p at a refresh rate of 50/60 Hz. The device is already available in Polish stores for a price of 529.90 zł, but it is a pre-sale that will end on March 28, 2024. An additional THECXSTICK controller costs 134.90 zł.
