Dong Min Kim, the product manager at Google Wallet, admitted that the tech giant is working on bringing this feature to other states as well, but the process will take a few more months.
However, it should be noted that some US states already have their own applications for storing digital identity documents, such as California and Utah. Additionally, some airports and merchants abroad may not recognize digital documents as sufficient proof of identity.
