CRKD Neo S: Unikalny, kolekcjonerski kontroler dostępny dla wszystkich

CRKD, the manufacturer of the beloved Nitro Deck controller for the Nintendo Switch console, has introduced a new gamepad to the market that resembles the classic NES controller. The wireless CRKD Neo S features Hall sensors in the analog sticks, interchangeable stick caps, and a retail price of $50. The gamepad works with both the Switch console and computers, mobile devices, and smart TVs.

The wireless Bluetooth controller from CRKD carries many of the features that made the Nitro Deck feel like the “true and ultimate form” of the Nintendo Switch. It includes two analog sticks (equipped with Hall sensors and interchangeable caps), a directional pad, four action buttons, triggers, buttons on the back, and adjustable vibration.

The CRKD Neo S is available in various creative designs and colors, many of which evoke nostalgia for Nintendo. For example, the gold shade resembles the Game & Watch console and the original Famicom, thanks to its familiar red and gold color scheme. Meanwhile, the transparent Neo S resembles the transparent versions of the Nintendo 64 controller and the Game Boy Color handheld console.

CRKD describes the Neo S controller as a “manifesto” and a “work of art,” hoping that you will buy it not only for gaming but also as a collector’s item. In addition to the bold designs (nine different designs will be available upon launch), the company’s mobile app tracks your registered products, provides digital proof of ownership, and displays the “rarity level” of each accessory. Despite the appealing designs, there remains the question of how many players will buy into the marketing tactic of purchasing additional controllers as a hobby.

Each version of the Neo S costs $50. At the time of publication, shipments are scheduled to begin in April. The controller is available for pre-order on the CRKD website.
