BigCommerce Przedstawia Nową Technologię Sklepu Online

BigCommerce has introduced a new technology for online stores that aims to simplify the process of creating online stores using modular architecture.

The new tool, called Catalyst, is designed for medium to large brands, as well as B2C and B2B sellers. The Openn SaaS e-commerce platform combines popular headless technologies with best practices, according to a press release published on Thursday (February 8).

“Catalyst introduces BigCommerce’s reference modular architecture, equipping developers with the most preferred and efficient technological solutions, and brand users with the world’s best Next.js editor with zero/low-code functionality,” said Brent Bellm, CEO of BigCommerce.

One of the key features of Catalyst is the Makeswift tool, which builds pages using modular technology acquired by BigCommerce in the fourth quarter of 2023. Makeswift allows marketing teams to easily manage content on websites and pages without the need for programming support. It can function as a standalone codeless website builder for simple pages or as part of a complex technological stack for more advanced websites.

BigCommerce hopes that Catalyst will enable developers to quickly create online stores through its reference architecture, which emphasizes flexibility, performance, and faster time to market.

To enhance the developer experience, Catalyst offers fully customizable store components and an optimized GraphQL API client for Next.js and React Server Components. This allows developers to accelerate development without compromising on quality.

During the development of Catalyst, BigCommerce collaborated with modular commerce specialists, including Orium.

Everett Zufelt, VP of Product and Partnerships at Orium, said in a press statement that Catalyst provides brands and sellers with the choice and flexibility they need to embrace new innovations and meet changing customer expectations.

Modular commerce is becoming increasingly competitive as more companies see the benefits of this approach. By decoupling front-end and back-end functionality, modular commerce facilitates the customization of online stores to adapt to trends and deliver personalized shopping experiences.

After implementing modular commerce architecture, companies can benefit from greater flexibility, speed, and scalability. For example, they can change the design of their website without making changes to the functionality of the e-commerce platform.
