Samsung has announced the Galaxy AI suite of solutions, powered by artificial intelligence, which will debut in the new Galaxy S24 smartphone series. One of the most interesting features will be AI Live Translate Call, a personal translator that will translate phone conversations in real time.
Who will be able to use this new feature? According to Nikkei Asia, live translation will primarily be available for speakers of the world’s most popular languages. Currently, English and Spanish are supported. Korean and Japanese will be added later. Some other languages will also be added in the future, although they are not yet specified. Unfortunately, it is uncertain if Polish will be included in this list.
An interesting fact is that AI Live Translate Call will work not only with other Samsung phones but also with phones from other brands such as iPhone, Xiaomi, or Motorola. There will be no need for two Galaxy S24 phones to conduct such a conversation. The technology will be implemented directly in the device, rather than in the cloud, allowing for quick and seamless translation.
The new Samsung smartphone will translate conversations in multiple languages on both ends, similar to a face-to-face meeting with an interpreter. Thanks to advanced artificial intelligence features in the latest SoC (System-on-a-Chip) processors, translation will occur in real time and without delays.
