OpenAI wprowadza aplikację VisionOS ChatGPT dla Apple Vision Pro

OpenAI, one of the largest artificial intelligence companies, is partnering with one of the leading brands in mixed reality. It has just released the VisionOS ChatGPT app for Apple Vision Pro.

In an announcement on the X website, OpenAI showcased a video of a user asking the ChatGPT browser, “Explain superconductors to me as if I were five years old,” and receiving a simplified answer.

At first glance, this may seem unnecessary: transferring an application that has no 3D aspect and relies primarily on text to a platform that is fully focused on augmented reality and 3D display. Similar to the mobile version, the Vision Pro version allows users to ask questions and receive voice-based answers, but interactions are limited to that.

While ChatGPT allows users to generate images, create unique content, receive advice, and solve problems, it doesn’t offer any features that are specific to the Vision Pro world – at least for now.

However, it is interesting to consider what this means for the future of combining artificial intelligence and augmented reality. Besides conversing with AI and engaging in dialogue, imagine sending an image directly from your field of view. You could look at ingredients in your pantry and ask AI for a recipe using those ingredients or inquire about a difficult homework problem your child is facing – envision an enhanced version of Google Lens.

Currently, the ChatGPT app doesn’t offer many unique features for Vision Pro, but considering companies like Google are already introducing AI-generated videos, it’s not difficult to imagine that generating immersive films is just around the corner.

The ChatGPT app is now available on the VisionOS App Store.
