In recent gaming news, Larian Studios, the creators of Baldur’s Gate 3, have invited two well-known actors to participate in the production. Swen Vincke, the studio’s founder and director, has asked Elijah Wood and Sean Astin, who played Frodo and Sam in the famous Lord of the Rings film trilogy, to perform parts of the game.
Baldur’s Gate 3 is currently one of the most popular games on the market, and its fame has grown even more after winning the game of the year title at The Game Awards. The inclusion of actors from Lord of the Rings can only attract more attention from players.
In a video shared by Larian Studios, Wood and Astin, under Vincke’s guidance, create their own characters in this installment of the popular RPG. The footage is short, lasting just over eight minutes, but it brings many humorous situations. It’s worth seeing how Wood deals with a squirrel.
There are also references to scenes from Lord of the Rings. After defeating a certain spider in Baldur’s Gate 3, Astin is reminded of how he dealt with a similar enemy in Return of the King.
Larian Studios has delivered another great animated film to fans before the holidays. In it, the main characters of the game encounter a character resembling Santa Claus and unpack an Xbox Series X console. The game is now available on PC (Steam, GOG), PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S.
