Apple’s Chief Designer Tang Tan to Join LoveFrom, Collaborate on AI Hardware Project

According to a recent report from Bloomberg, Tang Tan, Apple’s chief designer for the iPhone and Apple Watch, will be leaving the company in February. However, Tan is not retiring but rather joining LoveFrom, the design firm founded by Jony Ive, Apple’s former chief design officer.

The move to LoveFrom is part of a collaboration between Tan and OpenAI’s Sam Altman to work on a groundbreaking artificial intelligence (AI) hardware project. Their aim is to integrate OpenAI technology into innovative hardware products. Tan, currently the VP of product design at Apple, will be leading the hardware engineering team at LoveFrom for this project.

Additionally, Shota Aoyagi, a member of Ive’s renowned industrial design team, recently joined LoveFrom.
