EA Planuje Stworzenie Metawersum dla EA Sports

Electronic Arts (EA) has announced its plans to create a metaverse for its popular brand, EA Sports. During a recent press conference, EA CEO Andrew Wilson revealed that the company is actively working on integrating all its properties into one massive interconnected space.

According to Wilson, the EA gaming community is enormous, with over 700 million users, half of whom have some kind of contact with the sports catalog. EA Sports is considered one of the most recognizable sports brands by the CEO. Generation Z and Alpha often use EA Sports games as their first step in developing a love for sports in general.

Wilson emphasized that players spend an average of 90 minutes in a single session of EA games. They then leave this interactive space, where they have had a lot of social interaction with friends, exchange experiences on another platform, create content on the next platform, and then watch that content on yet another platform. EA sees this as a significant opportunity to leverage the potential of its gaming community both inside and outside of games.

Although speculation about metaverses has somewhat subsided recently, Wilson’s strategy appears to be more tactical and focused than some of the more fanciful proposals of other companies. In light of the continuous success of EA Sports, the company also highlighted a 7% increase in net profits from the game EA Sports FC and a 5% increase in net profits from the game Madden.

With live services accounting for 73% of the company’s entire business, EA is looking for ways to capitalize on its strength, especially now that it has realized it doesn’t need the FIFA brand to succeed. The company hopes that the EA Sports metaverse will attract an even larger fan base and allow for further development of its sports brand.
