Premiere of Vivo X100 Series Smartphones

Fans of the Vivo brand can now count down the days until the release of the flagship X100 series smartphones. The manufacturer has officially confirmed the debut date in the Indian market – January 4, 2024. Interestingly, Malaysia will be the first market outside of China to see the new models, with a planned release on January 3. While the phones have already been launched in China, this will be their first appearance in India and Malaysia.

The Vivo X100 and X100 Pro smartphones are characterized by impressive specifications and features. Both models are equipped with a curved OLED display measuring 6.78 inches, with a resolution of 1.5K, smooth 120Hz refresh rate, and a peak brightness of 3000 nits. The front panel features a 32-megapixel selfie camera housed in a punch-hole cutout.

Under the hood of the X100 series, you will find the advanced Dimensity 9300 chip, supported by ample LPDDR5x RAM and UFS 4.0 storage space. The devices will run on the latest Android 14 operating system.

The main differences between these models are the cameras and battery capacities. The Vivo X100 features a triple camera module with a 50-megapixel main sensor, optical image stabilization (OIS), a wide-angle lens with a resolution of 50 megapixels (FOV 150°), and a periscope telephoto lens with a resolution of 50 megapixels, also equipped with OIS. The device is powered by a 5000mAh battery with support for 120W fast charging.

On the other hand, the X100 Pro raises the bar even higher by offering a larger 50-megapixel main sensor, a custom periscope telephoto lens with a resolution of 64 megapixels, and the same 50-megapixel wide-angle lens. The X100 Pro also introduces Vivo’s V3 chip, which provides even better photo and video quality. The 5400mAh battery supports 100W wired charging and 50W wireless charging.

Both models in the X100 series are IP68 certified, guaranteeing protection against dust and water. Additionally, they offer support for WiFi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, USB-C (USB 3.2) port, NFC, infrared transmitter, and X-axis linear motor.
